Mrs. Tan holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry (MSc) from the National University of Singapore (NUS), and her passion for teaching was ignited during her own school years as a student. Specializing in Additional Mathematics and Elementary Mathematics for secondary levels, Mrs. Tan uses fast and effective teaching techniques to kindle her students’ interest in the subject. Ms. Wong is an experienced educator with many years of teaching both Primary and Secondary levels. An ex-MOE teacher, she holds a Diploma in Education (NIE) in Chinese Language and has spent the past 13 years teaching English, Mathematics, and Science. Over the course of her teaching career, she has worked with students of varying learning abilities, tailoring her approach to meet each student’s needs. A natural leader, he served as the Chairman of the Sangguniang Kabataan, the youth council governing the barangay units in the Philippines, where his passion for youth leadership and community service was cultivated. Janet holds a Diploma in Education from NTU-NIE. She is a dedicated and passionate educator with over 15 years of teaching and leadership experience in both private and public sectors. She currently serves as the Senior Teacher and Subject Lead for Chinese (Secondary) at WhizMinds Academy, where she spearheads the development of innovative and engaging Chinese language curricula for secondary school students. Janet integrates differentiated teaching methods, focusing on building strong language proficiency while ensuring students are well-prepared for national and Cambridge examinations. Before joining WhizMinds, Janet’s teaching career began with the Ministry of Education (MOE), where she excelled as a Chinese teacher for Primary 1–5 students at Temasek and St. Hilda’s Primary Schools. Recognized early for her leadership potential, she was appointed as Level Head in her second year, where she led the integration of ICT tools into the syllabus to enhance learning. She also guided her school’s CCA Dance team to a Singapore Youth Festival Gold Award and was selected to contribute to MOE’s Gifted Education Programme.
